ladybug lovin'

ladybug lovin', originally uploaded by aimeemade.

There are hundreds of ladybugs on our plum tree near the garden (and in the grass). I think there's a little too much lovin' goin' on in that tree!!

I think this is the yellow bell, but I'm not 100% positive.

Lots of rain again this week, so I haven't been able to get out and weed. It's getting hard to tell what is weed and what isn't in some parts!!

We've had tons of rain lately and the garden is doing well. The bunnies managed to leave a few of the butternut and zucchini plants alone... little boogers! We even have blossoms on one of the bell plants already!

Note to self, I think I really prefer using the telephoto to take garden pics vs my 50mm (what I used in the last post).

We have green beans! We planted seeds instead of seedlings and hoped they'd do well. It's always fun to see these things pop up out of the ground!
Full view of the garden. There is rhubarb in the corner, hiding under the weeds.

Our 2007 Garden

We've planted butternut squash, zucchini, jalepenos, anaheim peppers, red and yellow bell peppers, roma tomatoes and green beans. The bunnies have pretty much decimated the butternut & zucchini, but we're hoping a few survive. We've also got some cucumbers still to plant, but we had run out of room... until the bunnies hit!
